What's in it? A pair of socks, sachet of hot chocolate, marshmallow stirrer and a scented candle. How much do they cost? One costs €3 and 2 cost €5. Get them while stocks last!! :-) Have a look at our JEP journey so far! After brainstorming all of our wonderful ideas, 6 of the products went through to Dragon's Den.
Ms. Burke, Ms. Keane and Ms. Fiona Keogh had a difficult decision to make choosing just one product from a list of Ellie's Cake Pops, Sophie's Little Letter Fudge Bags, Niamh's Create Your Own Cupcake, Chloe's Spread and Share to Show You Care, Isabelle's Pom Pom Accessories and Katie's Choc 'n' Sock! On the day it was Katie's idea that was chosen! Ms Burke's values assembly this morning kicked off our 'Right Action' month! This month we will be focusing on showing respect, being reliable, good manners and having a healthy diet. :o)
Our whole-school value for last month was 'Peace'. The related values that we focused on each week were being calm, self-discipline and mindfulness. Take a look at some of the peace-related activites going on around St. Brigid's during February in our latest values photo slideshow... :o) ![]() As you might have seen in our recent newsletter St. Brigid's now has a school twitter account. We will be using this as another way to keep you informed about activities and events in our school.
![]() Happy World Book Day from everyone in St. Brigid's. We celebrate the wonderful world of books and how much we love to read today. Check out the catchy song below to mark the occasion:-). Make sure to keep reading! Leave us a comment with the name of your favourite book? ![]()
The two sixth classes have been working with the 5th year pupils of St. Mary's for the past month, working together in preparation for their Confirmation on March 8 next. St. Brigid's have enjoyed a great relationship with St. Mary's for several years now. Today saw both schools come together for a wonderful prayer service in the convent chapel in conclusion of the work done the past few weeks. Thanks to St. Mary's for their great input in developing and contributing to this programme, which has shown to be of great benefit to the St. Brigid's girls. Just to make sure we were learning lots of information we had a multicultural week quiz. There were three in all - one for junior, middle and senior classes. We played the countdown music before the quiz started and we had great fun trying to answer the questions. Room 9, Room 15 and Room 11 were winners in their categories. Sophia, Alison and Lucy were amazing quiz-show hosts and were very professional! Mr Manning was on hand to make sure that everything ran smoothly!
The school has recently updated our Acceptable Usage Policy to make sure that all our pupils are safe online. We have also reviewed our Social Personal and Health Education plan. You will find a copy of both of these in the policies and plans section under the Home tab.
This week we celebrated Multicultural Week. Multi Cultural week is sooo important in this school because we have children and parents from 27 different countries in our school. We loved learning all about our friends countries. Here are some things that we did during the week.
