![]() We are ending our month of work on 'Peace' by focusing on mindfulness. We did great work in our values copy at home, we read a story about mindfulness and we talked a lot about it this week. 3rd class are going to do some meditation homework tonight as we continue to explore this value. If anyone else would like to try it feel free. Enjoy:-).

The AMAZING Terry who voluntarily gives up his time to come and help us grow all these beautiful, tasty food was working hard all year round. We had lots of autumnal vegetables to bring home. Some vegetables included were radishes, carrots, green beans etc. We also had sunflowers for each classroom. A million thanks to Terry for all his hard work, dedication and LOVE for our school garden.

Yesterday, we celebrated our end of year by having a Values Singing Assembly. At the assembly, we sang songs that we learned throughout the year based on each value. We presented many pupils that missed no days in school with Perfect Attendance Certificate. We said goodbye to sixth class who sang their graduation song for us. They have lots of happy memories of their time here in St. Brigid's. We will miss them! We wished Ms. Mc Hugh and Mr. Manning well as they begin their new jobs. We also thanked all those who make our school a happy and safe place-our teachers, S.N.A's, Dave our caretaker, Martina, our cleaners, our parents association, Patrick our lollipop man and of course Sheila. We hope you all have a wonderful, safe Summer and we will see you again in August. (Calendar & book list can be found on the website) |
