Our value for the month of October is Truth. The four sub-values that we are focusing on each week are Determination, Being Yourself, Creativity and Curiosity. Our songs this month are 'Dont' Give Up' by Bruno Mars for the juniors and 'Try Everything' by Shakira for the seniors. RTE News2day have been back again to St. Brigid's, this time fiming a report about all that we are doing at school around our value of Peace for this month! Take a look a the news report below... Welcome back everyone! September is the International month of PEACE so we'll kick off the year with a focus on the main value of Peace for the month. Our four weekly sub-values for September will be Positivity, Calm, Simplicity and Patience. The song we will be singing at our PEACE values assembly this month can be found below and is called 'Light A Candle For Peace'. Happy International month of Peace everybody! :o) St. Brigid's would like to give a very warm welcome to all our returning pupils and their parents. A very special welcome to all our new junior infants and their parents also.
Remember that St. Brigid's will re-open on Thursday 30th August. Breakfast club will be open from 8am on Thursday 30th for senior Infants - 6th Class. Check out the video below to see some of the fun we had during our school summer camp this week. We did art activities, drama activities, a variety of sports, talent show, table quiz and much more. We also went on a trip to Donabate beach and Newbridge Playground. It was a really fun week helped by the glorious weather. Well done everyone:-).
Well, another year has come and gone and what an action packed year it was. We ended this year with a Values assembly and sang all the wonderful, happy songs we sang throughout the whole year.
We shared an emotional goodbye with 6th class and wished them all the luck in the world for secondary school. We presented many children with Perfect Attendance Certificates. What an amazing achievement! We wished Ms. Gill and Ms. Moran all the best for the future and thanked all the people in the school that make our day flow nicely; our teachers, S.N.A's, Martina, Dave our care taker, Our cleaners, our parents association, Patrick our lollipop man and of course, last but not least Sheila. We hope you have a wonderful, happy and safe summer and we shall see you all again on the 30th August. Check out the class teachers and book lists below,
Well done to everyone from 4th and 5th class who took part in our lunchtime league for the last month. You all did really great. A special well done to all the girls who had never played football before. We need to give a big thanks to the 6th class who managed the teams, set up every day and along with some of the 5th class girls acted as referees and umpires. Congratulations to Dublin who won the final andwell done to Roscommon for making the final and giving them a great match. You're all wonderful:-).
